So after traveling for twelve years on fourteen airplanes and going through security a few times, we finally made it to St Thomas.
My feet were the size of watermelons. They looked like they did when I was nine months pregnant. SO attractive. They were so swollen you could squishy them. Ha.
I’m not kidding.
Our original plan was to house sit for a friend of a friend.
And let me tell you, this apartment was amazing for the view. Holy cow.
Unfortunately, once we got here we decided the situation wasn’t very conducive for Celiacs. Private residences are on septic systems. You have to be very careful with the restroom. We conferred and decided this was not a good plan and moved to a hotel. Sean was awesome and encouraged me to do whatever I needed to do. Being Celiac is already debilitating enough and frankly…embarrassing enough. Let’s not add that kind of issue. So now we’re at the Best Western Emerald Beach Resort.
I realize only “Best” is linked. But I can’t get the computer to highlight the rest. Technology incompetence at it’s finest.
I also can’t get any of my photos to link.
I can’t get any of anything to work and it’s possible I’m just too tired to think.
So tomorrow I’ll try and be more…there.
I’m running in the morning. Andrea wants to work out in the gym. I may do that, but I’ll probably ask about a local running something or other so I at least can check out the area.
Okay. It’s tomorrow now. I’m going to head out for a run soon. It’s so beautiful. I wish I could show you guys.
Hopefully I’ll have this darn thing figured out tonight!
Meanwhile I am off to run. Can’t waste time typing, it’s a beautiful day and the beach is twelve feet away.
I will say this.
You know when you go to the store and headache drugs cost $12 you refuse to pay it because holy CRAP that’s a lot of money for drugs you KNOW you can get it cheaper at that other store. But at the airport your head hurts so bad you freaking don’t care if it’s $12 for 2…TOTALLY worth it. Mmmhmm.
So yesterday as we looked at our situation we thought…yeah. We don’t care about the room situation. Just give us a room. So we get to the room and it’s not perfect. They forgot any and all towels. The doors slide poorly and make a ton of racket. Pretty sure it’s the room positioned worst in the whole hotel. The shower is terrible. Worst water pressure ever. I could stand under it for ten minutes and not actually get wet.
It cost a fortune.
We’re so grateful.
I can’t tell you how grateful we are to have this hotel room.
God was good to us and so is my husband and her husband to be so cool about saying “take care of you”. It was really above and beyond.
I’ll pop on with photos later. PROMISE> (I’ll use her computer)
Have a beautiful day!
Man, I can’t even post a motivation.

Run on Friends! And I hope your computer cooperates for you. 🙂
