Serious congratulations to our 2015 Women’s World Cup winners for doing such an amazing job and making the United States so proud and giving little girls everywhere big dreams…
The evening of Independence Day Sean and I went for a walk to see if we could spot the fireworks. It was a beautiful night, the sunset was perfect. Before we knew it we had walked the entire distance to the event…two and a half miles…and parked ourselves on a lovely patch of grass and watched. It was a perfect way to spend the evening and even though I really really REALLY had to use the restroom (not my best timing) I had a great time.
As the show ended and people meandered past us the kids chattering on and the moms and dads pushing strollers we could hear different languages spattered around us. A little Chinese here…some Spanish there. It was really the perfect commercial advertising an evening in this melting pot we call America. Sometimes we do it right.
Miss G and I ran this morning and it was cool and drizzly.
Is there any weather more perfect for running than cool and drizzly?
No. I didn’t think so.
6 miles…most of it running.
Girl is awesome.
